Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be embedded within Anuera client operations to proactively help assess and solve client challenges related to criminality, security, internal and external threats, health and safety, and social license to operate. The Security and Risk Management Consultant will be required to:



  1. Conduct detailed risk analysis and develop recommendations for mitigation measures across multiple risk areas including operational, compliance, safety and security, reputational, and human rights
  2. Proactively identify operational efficiencies for client operations across projects in multiple sectors including extractives, infrastructure, engineering and conservation
  3. Develop and fuse multiple streams of information to create assessments and identify areas of vulnerability
  4. Prepare written reports for internal and external stakeholders
  5. Use risk management and intelligence platforms and mobile applications to assist client operations
  6. Assess processes and procedures, incident management, and duty of care measures
  7. Assist with audits and investigations, ensuring adherence to international and host-nation legal precedents under the guidance of Anuera London
  8. Prepare and deliver training to client personnel and stakeholders
  9. Research new technology and recommend opportunities for integration
  10. Exemplify and drive an innovative and adaptable approach to risk management

Experience

  1. At least five years’ experience in a security, risk management and analysis role
  2. Commitment to adhering to the highest legal and ethical standards
  3. Proficient in MS Office
  4. An interest in technology and ability to understand how to apply it to improve client operations
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate must have the ability to present complex technical findings, methodologies, and recommendations in a concise and easily actionable manner to commercial stakeholders
  6. Knowledge of risk consulting and management standards and methodologies, particularly for large scale projects
  7. Experience in the design and implementation of risk management, investigation, and information collection strategies
  8. Experience in working with diverse business and cultural stakeholders
  9. Experience within the extractives sector is desirable
